WHAT Lu is a a hanging system which allows to suspend belongings wherever, by providing a clamp mechanism that works on horizontal surfaces as well as vertical.
WHY How many times a day do we have to put our bags on a dirty floor, exposing them to bacterias? How to design a bag hook that is compact, adaptable and strong enough to support the weight of a regular backpack?
HOW I developed this bag hook through a hand-on approach using a fast prototyping methodology allowing me to iterate. I designed Lu by taking benefits of the spring effect of iron wire. The design is inspired by hair and tablecloth clips. It can be industrially produced by CNC bending machines.
